Man is Lord of Earth - Genesis 2:17-20

Lectures updated through Sunday, December 11, 2011. Genesis 2:17-20 speaks of the need for a helper "meet" for the man, that is, fit for him in connection with the command regarding the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Adam is given complete freedom to choose his mate, because he is Lord of earth; but Eve will ultimately fail in this regard, as we know. Yet the Blessed Virgin will be given grace to complete the woman's role as spiritual helper, for she will bear the Redeemer of the world. Lectures all available here.
